Your 2026 ICHSA Lineup

Our 21st ICHSA season launches in January, and we can’t wait to see what our competitors will bring to the stage! This year, there are more than 4,300 performers in more than 255 groups from high schools across 30 states competing in our tournament. We are thrilled to see so much talent returning to ICHSA in such great numbers, and we are humbled to provide this experience for so many once again.

Competitor Information
Accepted competitors will receive an email from your regional ICHSA producer no later than December 15 with specifics about the day of their show. Events will begin in mid-January and continue through late March. Most shows begin at 7 pm with competitor call time at noon. Please be sure to review our competition rules and judging system. Groups may withdraw by December 1, 2025 for a full refund. Otherwise, we will take your spot as confirmed – and we can’t wait to see you on stage!

Due to scheduling limitations, some groups may be assigned to a quarterfinal for which they had listed a conflict. In regions that are full (Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Northeast), requests for assignment changes will not be considered unless two groups within the same assigned region self-organize and communicate a mutual switch by December 1.

Audience Information
Tickets for most events go on sale on December 1 on our events page. Follow us on Instagram for a reminder, and sign up for our mailing list to make sure you are getting all of the latest event info. Many events do sell out in advance, so we highly recommend grabbing your tickets early.

The 2026 International Championship of High School A Cappella Lineup

Seven regions will make up this year’s ICHSA tournament: Great Lakes, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, South, Southwest, and West. All regions will have quarterfinal rounds that each advance the top 2 or 3 groups to semifinals. Each region’s semifinal then advances one group to the spectacular ICHSA Finals in New York City.

Regional Breakdown:
Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast: 5 quarterfinals advance 2 groups each to semifinals. One semifinal advances one group to finals.
South, West: 3 quarterfinals advance 3 groups each to semifinals. The semifinal wildcard advances one group to semifinals. One semifinal advances one group to finals.
Southwest: 2 quarterfinals advance 3 groups each to semifinals. Semifinal wildcard advances 3 groups to semifinals. One semifinal advances one group to finals.
Finals Wildcard: All 2nd and 3rd place groups at each semifinal will be invited to submit a video to compete in a virtual finals wildcard round, which advances two groups to ICHSA Finals at The Town Hall in New York City!

Special note on advancing: Regions with fewer than 5 quarterfinals will also advance additional groups via a virtual semifinal wildcard (video submission) in order to maximize participation in semifinals.
