Applications are due by November 1. Materials must be received at our headquarters by this deadline. Postmarks will not be considered. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. If you are applying from overseas and do not wish to mail your materials, please email us to make alternate arrangements.

Application materials

To apply, please submit the following materials:

- Submit your application form online today!

- Your application fee of $35, payable to Varsity Vocals via Paypal.

- Two (2) copies of your recorded materials.*
*Send to Varsity Vocals headquarters. Only fully mastered tracks on CDs or CDRs will be considered. We cannot accept MP3s, WAV files, audio or DAT tapes, or mini-discs.

*Individual tracks and tracks that have not yet been commercially released will be considered. However, only tracks recorded on or after June 1, 2008 (18 months before the Nov. 1 deadline) will be considered.

*CDs must be protected in a proper case and must be clearly labeled with the group's name, university, and date of recording.

Policies

Groups accepted to BOCA and BOHSA will be required to pre-purchase 50 albums for $6 each, for a total of $300. You are encouraged to in turn sell these discs at whatever price you would like.

Tracks will be chosen by CASA founder Deke Sharon and Varsity Vocals director Amanda Newman. Factors for consideration include song selection, intonation, arrangement, balance, solo, and production quality.
