International Championships of A Cappella

ICCA The Varsity Vocals International Championship of A Cappella is the only international tournament that showcases the art of student a cappella singing. Our programs include both The Varsity Vocals International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) and The Varsity Vocals International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA), and both are dedicated to providing top-notch collegiate a cappella groups with valuable feedback from our highly qualified judges. Our young vocalists also have the opportunity to showcase their talent to an international audience and develop relationships with each other, cultivating the art of a cappella singing and a lifelong love of music.

Each year, our tournament takes place from January through April in six regions: West, Midwest, South, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Europe. Each region holds several quarterfinal events. The top two college groups at each quarterfinal advance to college semifinals, and the top high school group advances to high school semifinals. The winner of each semifinal is invited to participate in finals, held in the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, where they compete for cash prizes and the coveted title of Grand Champion.

The Best of A Cappella

Each year, Varsity Vocals produces compilation albums of the BOCA: Best Of College A Cappella and BOHSA: Best Of High School A Cappella, featuring the very best tracks from groups around the world.

Varsity Vocals accepts hundreds of submissions every year, and being selected to appear on this album has become a valuable mark of accomplishment in the a cappella community. Each year's album is more exciting than the last. Whether it's the earliest edition available or the latest release, the BOCA and BOHSA albums are a must-have for any true a cappella aficionado.
